Beauty Tip: The Secret to Non-Frizz Hair

Courtesy of Fashionista.com we are now armed with a life altering beauty tip to stop frizz. I have natural curly hair and although some days are better than others I still have to fight frizz. Apparently we've been doing it wrong our whole lives.

According to Fashionista.com "A regular towel leaves the hair cuticle rough and causes friction, which causes frizz. A cotton t-shirt does the opposite; it leaves moisture and doesn't cause frizz," Robles said. "It's great for girls with curly hair. There are towels made of t-shirt material but [they] run pretty expensive so a regular t-shirt should do!"

Now you know!

Friday Fun: Meet the Most Stylish CEO who Happens to be 10!

Mr. Cory's Cookies
Mr. Cory’s Cookies is the name of his company and at only 10 years old he has not only become a very successful young entrepreneur but also a style icon!

Cory Nieves began selling hot cocoa outside of his house in New Jersey to raise funds for his mother to buy a car when they were moving to New York City. Following his success his mother encouraged him to continue to sell homemade goods to save money for college, so Mr. Cory began to make lemonade and bake cookies as well!

Mr. Cory, the Style Icon
What I admire more about him? His products are all-natural and made from high-quality ingredients, and although I don’t have children myself, I believe it is very important to help children become educated and aware of what they are eating from a young age. Also, he is so inspiring and reminds people of all ages that its so important to pursue your passions and do everything with an open mind and a positive outlook!

I can’t wait to taste the “perfect chocolate chip cookie” that Mr. Cory and his mother have spent months developing and testing different recipes and only hope one day I can achieve style icon status like Mr. Cory himself!

Beauty Product of the Week: EyeInk by Annabelle

The Greatest Liquid Liner: EyeInk by Annabelle
As you may or may not know, I am a fan of liquid liner. Maybe its because I was a competitive dancer and winged-eyeliner was mandatory on the stage and I grew up using only MAC liquid liner; regardless I've finally found one that is on the same level as my beloved MAC and for a very affordable price of $9.95!

Try it out and let me know what you think!

Love it or Leave it: Erdem Limited Edition Skateboard

Erdem has been on my radar for a while now. The Canadian-born British-Turkish fashion designer rocks the runway each season with stellar yet wearable powerful prints and textures. When I die, burry me in Erdem, am I right?

Well I love keeping up-to-date with the fashion brand via Twitter and amongst the other designers I follow a recent tweet caught my attention while I was scrolling through my newsfeed, Erdem tweeted a very cool looking skateboard. Yes a couture skateboard, the time has come. Complete with a classic Erdem cool pattern and a wicked pair of shoes, I must admit I was ready to grab the deck myself.

Available online for £75 here.

So, do we love the couture skateboard?

NYC Reflections

New York City is a thing of beauty, I fell in love, like many others, on my first trip when I was 16 years old. Although the skyline is the only image necessary to induce a longing for visiting the great city for me I've discovered these amazing pictures of New York reflections by photographer Donna Dotan from her collection "Reflections From Above".

Beauty Product of the Week: Bumble and bumble Dry Shampoo

Bumble and bumble Dry Shampoo
I read an article once that revolutionized my life and it went a little something like "washing your hair every day makes it more greasy and is bad for you". Since that day I've invested in dry shampoos, for the most I've use the tried and tested true Batiste dry shampoo but on a recent trip to Sephora I tried out the Prêt-à-Powder Bumble and bumble dry shampoo and think I may have to make it my go to. The best part was that it actually did volumize my hair rather than just cover up my day-old hair. Available for $31 at Sephora here.
