Last night was the night for those in the fashion industry to get their own red carpet to walk down and for once all eyes are on them to see who is best dressed at the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute Gala, in celebration of
Charles James, the American couturier whose work will be on display as
part of the exhibit,
Charles James: Beyond Fashion, at the newly renovated Anna Wintour Costume Center.
There comes a certain precedence with the gala each year and although last year's very successful
PUNK: Chaos to Couture theme allowed the fashion elite to have fun in couture costumes, this year we were able to see more of an individual expression with each fashion icon and star. How one picks a best dressed at such an event is a bit overwhelming however these are my choices for the best dressed last night.
