Fall Outfit Inspiration

Sometimes all it takes is a purse or a pair of killer boots to bring together an entire outfit, Invaluable came to me with a challenge: pick a ring that speaks to you on the site and show us how you'd style it. I found a ring that was delicate and feminine yet structured and immediately I envisioned the perfect look to showcase. The ring, a 14K rose gold and diamond ring has the ability to stand on its own so I recommend adding a floppy hat and the fringe bag to make this the perfect Autumn look.

Mom-Repellent: S&%! my Mom says about How I Dress

Ever wonder how your mom feels about how you dress? Fear not, my mother is happy to let me know and I will blog about it for our enjoyment.

DISCLAIMER: she is aware that I am doing this and her inner Kris Jenner is pretty excited.

On my Zara leather shoes, as I walk out of the house on my way to work.

Mom- "When did you get those shoes?"

Lucy- "in London in April. I've worn them at least 12 times"

Mom- "they're so... Clunky"

Lucy- "what does that even mean? They're from Zara"

Mom- "Zara makes clunky shoes..."

I still wore them even though I am fully aware of the fact that she thinks they are "clunky".

Blush: This Season's Most Wanted Hue

The Pantone colour of the year might be radiant orchid but pink is having a moment thanks to the oversized pink Carven coat every editor adored.

Although pink is an ultra feminine colour there are ways to incorporate the popular shade into your everyday wardrobe. My advice? Pick one item, whether it be an accessory, a pair of shoes, or even a nail polish, and let the colour speak for itself without making it the focal point of your outfit to create an effortless chic look.

Seeing Double: Zara vs Alexander Wang • Ankle Strap Sandal

Matchstick heels are making a comeback this season and I must say by adding a pair of thin ankle strap sandals you can dress up any look. I've recently invested in some tight maxi skirts and feel these would be the perfect companion. I absolutely love the Alexander Wang's but luckily Zara has a pair that are wallet-friendly.
